Quote of the day.

Today I chose a quote that I like:

“It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.” -Andre Gide

I try to live by this though I'm not really being who I am in front of others. I put up this act of happiness and hope and that really isn't me. xx -Dani.

  1. Hi,
thanks for checking out my blog! I'm tired now, but I plan to come back and read through your stuff, because it looks really interesting.
I take issue with quotes like the one above, because at least for me, I would definitely rather be loved than hated, no matter what. To me, the front is worth it, as long as I'm able to drop it for those I'm close to.
However, I would think that if you are able to purely be yourself with everyone, that they would love you for it. Something to look forward to maybe?

  3. I read through your posts and I can relate to a lot of what you have to say. Feeling desperate to be thin, depression... I hope you can get through it, and I hope this blog helps.
One post that really stuck out to me was the one where you talked about the aneurism and your dad's passing. I can't even imagine what a horrifying experience that had to be, going through all that. I admire your courage for revisiting it.

    1. Thanks a lot, it actually feels good knowing that people can relate and that I'm not alone. This blog is helping a lot so far anyway. It's hard revisiting it, even just thinking about it sometimes causes tears to well up. I cried as I was writing it, but I guess it's good to let it out. I hope you like my blog, thanks again. xx -Dani.
